Town youngsters Finn Steele and Alex Graham visited the Foundation’s Player Development Centre at East Bergholt High School on Friday evening.
Both former students at the school, Finn and Alex took time to answer questions from the two groups present on the night, discussing their careers so far, their experiences of training with the first team squad, and their aspirations in the sport. The pair also took part in some training drills and a small game with the young participants.
Player Development Centres (PDCs), which link in to and feed the Elite Player Development Centre, offers players the chance to receive quality technical coaching sessions at venues situated in key areas across Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. We have venues in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Beccles, Sudbury, East Bergholt, Eye, Bottisham and Thetford.
Ipswich Town PDCs are weekly coaching sessions for children aged 6 to 12, who love to play football regularly. Sessions are available for both boys and girls who may play for a club or school, but we also welcome beginners who have never played before.
Sessions offer technical coaching, skills development and allow the opportunity for participants to practice in small-sided matches. Our trained coaches have the experience and understanding to cater for the needs of the group and ensure that children are happy and developing their skills, while following a structured ITFC syllabus.
If you are interested in taking part, or have any questions, please contact Eva Hubbard, our Community Development Officer, via email to eva.hubbard@itfc.co.uk.
